Aujane Luckey, a senior at Long Beach Wilson High in California, won the girls 400-meter title in 53.26 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Luckey also finished seventh in the 200-meter final in a wind-legal 24.09 seconds, in addition to contributing to the Bruins placing second in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:42.49 and taking third in the 4x100-meter relay in 46.66. Long Beach Wilson won its first girls state team title since 2006 with 44 points.
