Jeremiah Walker, a San Jose State-bound senior at Fresno Central High, overcame a significant right leg injury to win the boys 400-meter title in 47.49 seconds and contribute to victory in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.36 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Walker also ran a wind-aided 21.42 seconds to secure sixth in the 200 meters, before helping Central clinch the team title with a runner-up performance in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:14.78 to edge Upland by a 41-40 margin.
