Hunter O'Brien, a senior at Eastvale Roosevelt High, won the boys pole vault title with a 16-5 clearance on his first attempt and prevailed against Hilton Green of Buchanan on fewest attempts at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. O'Brien became the first male athlete in program history to capture a state title.
