CLOVIS -- Castro Valley High's Sasha Wallace achieved a rare feat by successfully defending her two state track and field individual titles Saturday at the California Interscholastic Federation state championships at Buchanan High.
Next year, her teammate Nate Moore will get the opportunity to do the same thing.
Wallace won the girls triple jump by more than a foot with her first attempt of 41 feet, 9½ inches (wind-legal). Then she had to miss the awards ceremony for the triple jump to get ready for the 100-meter hurdles, which she won by .31 seconds with a wind-legal time of 13.43.
