Published by
In one of the greatest individual performances in state meet history, Agoura's Tara Davis was triple winner at Buchanan High in Clovis. Davis won the long jump for the first time in her career with a wind-aided 22-1.50. Her winning mark came after jumping a wind-legal 22-1 that broke the overall state and state meet record that was previously held by Marion Jones (22-0.5) since 1993. Davis followed the long jump with winning the 100 hurdles for the second straight year with a wind-aided 12.83 - the fastest mark under all conditions. The Georgia-bound senior finished the night by winning the triple jump for the second year in a row with a wind-aided mark of 42-11.75. Also for the second year in a year, Agoura finished as runner up in the team competition with 30 points. More videos |
