Nailea Fields, a senior at Caruthers High in California, repeated as winner in the girls discus throw final with a sixth-round effort of 167-6 (51.05m) at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Fields became the first female athlete to secure back-to-back discus titles since Shafter's Anna Jelmini in 2008-09. She also placed 10th in the shot put final with a mark of 39-1 (11.91m).
