Riverside Poly junior Abigail Burke cleared 5-8 without a miss to win the girls high jump state title at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Burke finished in a four-way tie with Fortuna's Katie Hurst, Sanger's Chinenye Agina and defending champion Cassidy Palka of Oaks Christian, but didn't miss jump at any of her four heights to secure the tiebreaker and capture the crown.
